As Seen On Me

You’ve made it! To hump day, and halfway through this busy work week. I am back home and settled back into my usual routine, getting back into procrastinating at it’s finest, and just enjoying my home a little more than before. I find that when I am away from home for a while, returning is really bittersweet. Part of me always wishes I was still out exploring and adventuring, but the other part savors the joy of being back in familiarity and I find that I’m even more grateful for the beautiful place I spend most of my life in.

Speaking of familiarity, my wardrobe literally 99.9% of the time consists of jeans, a comfy v-neck tee, and a sweatshirt. It’s what I wear most days, and I usually end up throwing on some yoga pants and sleeping in the top part most nights. I live for comfort and I could live in my jeans. Of course, I absolutely love experimenting and will usually try a new outfit or go for a dress or a skirt a few times a week, but I always feel most myself in my usual attire. It truly makes me happy.

This summer I have picked up a few new pullover sweatshirts that I have fallen in love with and will definitely be adding to my everyday repertoire. The newest one is this pullover I’m wearing in these photos. We have some of the coolest local shops in my area and one of them, Focus Lifestyle Boutique, is run by one of my favorite people, Carletta. When she texted me a few weeks ago saying that she had gotten the most perfect sweatshirt for me and I saw the pic, I squealed. Seriously. This sweatshirt says, “as seen on my blog”! How fitting, huh? It’s from Project Social T and is literally one of the softest things I’ve ever owned (next to my Always, More sweatshirt of course). What I love most about it is the fit, though. It has a really nice boatneck style collar, a fitted hem at the bottom, and then extra long sleeves. I don’t really know what’s better than extra long sleeves. I decided to wear it with another new favorite of mine, this Promesa oversized v-neck blue and white striped t-shirt from another local shop, OKO.

OKO was actually started by two ladies, Abbie and Katie, whom I have known my entire life and have some of my favorite memories with. I was always the younger one tagging along with them, sleeping on the pullout couch. But they were the two that really helped me find a love for makeup, by teaching me how to apply eyeliner, and fashion, when I would have to lug Abercrombie bags across the world (they lived in Italy for a while growing up) just so Katie could try and disperse the intense scent throughout her closet before it washed away. They are now doing such cool, amazing things and I am so excited for both of them! And this t-shirt is the comfiest thing I’ve ever worn. I finished the look with these classic American Eagle boyfriend jeans and my reliable high-top converse.

Traveling the world is one of my most cherished parts of life and while it gives me such a happy high, there’s nothing quite like coming home to the people and the place you love most. I hope you all have an awesome rest of your week! I know I will… t-shirts, sweatshirts, jeans and all.
