It All Starts With A Wish, Disney

2Disney-1

The next morning we were at Animal Kingdom, my favorite park of them all, bright and early to hit the rides and eat some yummy food!

2Disney-3

We beelined straight to the Harambe Fruit Market in Africa next to Kilimanjaro Safari for some breakfast… the fresh pineapple and strawberries were ahhmazing!

Then we headed towards Asia to ride Expedition Everest– the twisty, twirly roller coaster set up in the mountains of the Andes, deep inside where the Abominable Snowman lives. Eek!

And after, with all our limbs still in tact, we hit Dinoland where we took a spin on Primevil Whirl and then stopped for lunch and an afternoon drink… I sipped on apple tea (it was delicious!)

Later on, we headed to Magic Kingdom for an afternoon of rides and sightseeing! We had picked out our Fastpasses+ for the day earlier online, so we were ready to go.

I totally recommend Fastpass+, get the cute colored bands with your names on them and book those Fastpasses early, early, early to get exactly what you want!

But don’t fret if you accidentally pick the wrong time or need to change it later, it’s super easy to go back into your account and manually change your times for each Fastpass+, it’s really as easy as 1, 2, 3.

First stop was my personal favorite: Beast’s Castle and Gaston’s Tavern! They’re new to Disney World and such an awesome experience added to the park.

2Disney-14

“No one’s slick as Gaston, no one’s quick as Gaston, no one’s necks as incredibly thick as Gaston…”

This day was truly the day of the flavored drinks. LeFou’s Brew is a frozen apple cider type drink with a hint of marshmallow and topped with a passion fruit/mango foam. Definitely a little unique and definitely the perfect cool down drink.

It’s no-sugar added, but no-sugar needed because it’s beyond sweet enough. LeFou’s Brew is a must try if you’re ever near the tavern!

Once we took the final sip of our drinks, our Fastpasses were ready to go! Space Mountain was first on the list.

It’s always best to start with a classic.

After Space Mountain it was straight to Buzz Lightyear. We are pretty competitive, and unfortunately for me, Jordin got the special shot at the beginning securing his win quite early in the game.

I still put up a fight though.

The newly refurbished Thunder Mountain was next up…

And then we said goodbye to Magic Kingdom to head back to Epcot for another dinner date just as the sun was setting.

We grabbed a few more pictures with the flowers from the Flower & Garden festival, watched the evening rise over the big ball, and then walked to Mexico where we had the best dinner complete with churros (dairy-free of course!).

I wasn’t ready for our weekend adventure to end… but for now I’ll carry the memories made with me, close to my heart, until next time.
