June Favorites: Beauty!

June Faves 1

Another month has breezed on by, and now it’s time for another monthly favorites! I found some extra cool products this month that I’m so excited to share with you! I’m still loving all my products from May, especially the Tarte Amazionan Clay Foundation. It’s been a staple in my makeup routine lately as I feel it’s just the perfect summer foundation. But I’ve also added so many new products to my collection in June, and these are my favorites! By the way, I made a video and a post, so feel free to watch/read either (or both!).

L’oreal True Match Foundation

I’m loving this true match foundation right now. I found it so hard to use a good coverage foundation with my fair (and freckly!) skin, but this one goes on so smooth and covers up any imperfections while still feeling light on my skin. It’s rather “runny,” which I don’t love, but once it’s on my skin it sinks in quickly and stays on all day.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed in ‘Naked’

This palette is my absolute favorite, particularly the bronzer. It gives this beautiful golden sheen without being orangy at all. The highlighter is wonderful and I really love the blush too, although its pretty pigmented so make sure to use it sparingly if you want a natural look.

Josie Maran Coconut Water Eyeshadow in ‘Rio Rose Gold’

Coconut.watercolor.eyeshadow people. I love Josie Maran because it’s cruelty-free and very eco conscious. I would never think to use coconut water in eyeshadow, but that’s just one of the genius things Josie Maran comes up with. It takes a while to dry, but once it’s on it stays on great. I love using it as a top lid liner and it adds the perfect glittery pop to any look, day or night.

Kate Somerville’s Goat Milk Cream

This goat milk cream knows what’s up. If you’ve been following the blog, you’ll know I have a dairy allergy. But I don’t have reactions to goat’s milk as long as I eat it/use it very sparingly. I use this moisturizer a couple times a week and it does wonders for my skin. I always thought that if I had acne prone skin I should always cleanse, purify, and exfoliate. It wasn’t until recently that I learned you must hydrate well too. This moisturizer revives my skin and I wake up feeling well-rested.

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb

Original Skin is part of a campaign Origins is doing called #QuarterLifeCrisis (if you’d like to read a really cool article about the girl who came up with the campaign, click here). It’s all about young women who are transitioning from that acne prone, sensitive teenage skin into more of a women’s complexion. This serum is the bomb diggity. It use it at night before putting on the goat milk cream, and it just feels amazing. It has a little sticky residue, but once it’s rubbed in it leaves my skin feeling soft and renewed. The smell of willowherb is perfect for de-stressing, and once I’m all lathered up in this serum, I’m relaxed and ready for a great night’s sleep.

Philosophy ‘Fresh Cream’ Fragrance

I know this fragrance has been around forever, but I just used it for the first time this month and I’m in love. The only thing I can compare it to is like when you wake up in fresh, new, bed sheets. I spritz some of this on before I head out in the mornings and again before dinner and it keeps me feeling clean and “creamy” all day.

And that’s it for my favorites in June. I hope you have a great Fourth of July weekend filled with fireworks and barbecues!
