If you’ve been following along with my travel posts, I’m going to skip ahead to share this outfit that I wore on a more adventurous touring day in New Zealand!
Packing for a trip around the world in all different climate and cultural changes required some planning. All throughout Asia the weather was on the cooler side and it rained a lot, so I wore more jeans and long sleeves. I was expecting New Zealand and Australia to be hot, so I tried to save my lighter layers for the back half of the trip. The whole trip turned out to be on the chillier side, but there was one day where I felt brave enough to bust out my shorts!
On this particular day in Auckland, we had been touring around the beaches and ended up hiking through this beautiful forest in the hills. On days filled with a big tour, I layered up even more than usual. I brought along this adorable
I brought along this adorable fringe backpack I found at Target a few days before leaving and was so glad I had it. It fit my camera, snacks, and a jacket which was all I needed for the day. I lived in my Nike shoes the entire trip and was so thankful I got them in black because I definitely roughed them up and you could hardly even tell because of the dark color.Right before I left, Jordin’s family were so sweet and gave me this super cute Athleta military jacket. It was thin enough to not be stuffy but still wind-resistant so I didn’t get chilly. The one pair of denim shorts I brought along were these Rag & Bone ones. I bought them last summer and absolutely love them. They are my go-to summer shorts. I also wore this ‘Save More Elephants’ t-shirt from JCrew. I love to wear anything that is cute and has a purpose. And I finished it off with this basic black scarf from Old Navy.
It was the perfect outfit to get me through a day in New Zealand spending the morning at the sunny beaches and the afternoon in the cool forests.
Let me ask you, what is your go-to travel outfit?
