You know those times where you want a smoothie, but you don’t want to do all that cutting and slicing and prep work? Well, I have a solution for you… SMOOTHIE PACKS!
It’s kind of like meal prep but for smoothies. You just grab all the ingredients (besides the liquid, that comes later), place them into baggies, and stick them into the freezer until you’re ready to use. Then, when the mood strikes, pick whichever one you’d like, pour it into the blender, add some coconut water or milk of your choice, blend it all together, and you’ve got yourself a delicious smoothie on the go!
Easy peasy lemon squeezie.
Whenever I get a craving for a drink, I want it like now. And usually I’ll end up looking into the refrigerator for a good five minutes until I decide that I just don’t want to put the effort in to making something. These smoothie packs are my favorite because I can prep them and use them whenever I want. I make sure to always have a few different types around to use after a workout or during a morning where I’m stuck at my desk. I just grab, mix, and go.
- 1 orange
- 3 watermelon cubes
- 1 honey mango, sliced
- ½ teaspoon ginger, minced
- 8 strawberries
- ½ banana, sliced
- ⅓ cup oats
- ½ cup honeydew
- ½ cup pineapple
- ¼ lime, juiced
- ¼ cup spinach
- In three separate plastic bags, place the ingredients for each smoothie and stick them into the freezer until you're ready to use.
- When using, remove the "smoothie" you'd like to make from the freezer and pour the ingredients into a blender. Add 1 cup coconut water or milk of your choice and blend until smooth. Each pack makes one smoothie.
