Tarteist & Tartlette: Two New Magical Products from Tarte

Tarte-Tartlette-and-Tarteist

Every time I branch out to try something new, I always find myself coming back to my tried and true (hey, that rhymed!). Tarte is just an all around fave for me, from the best foundation I’ve ever used (Amazonian Clay all the way) to this new Tartlette In Bloom palette and Tarteist nude lipgloss.

I am a die hard Urban Decay Naked 1 fan, and half baked is my favorite eyeshadow of all time. I have been actively looking for a new palette or shadow that has a shade similar to it for about a year now and just couldn’t find one that had the golden tones and intense pigment, until the In Bloom palette came out.

In the palette, the shade ‘Funny Girl’ is my new ‘Half Baked’. It has the same intense shimmer and light golden tones and is super blendable. The two biggest differences I’ve noticed is that funny girl is a little lighter gold and is a touch less pigmented. I’m really into layering lately though, so I love that I can put a nice color underneath and it will shine through. The other two shades that I’ve been wearing on repeat are ‘Rebel’ and ‘Sweetheart’. Sweetheart is a nude/pink that is rich in color but still goes on lightly and rebel is an orange/brown that I just love. I’ve been wanting an orange shade for a while now but was too scared to commit, but when I saw it in this overly pink/golden toned palette, I figured it was the perfect time to try it. It’s definitely harsh against my pale skin, but I love how it’s more of a risk-taking color and it’s the perfect dress-up shade.

Tarteist-Lip-Glossy

The Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint was also a drastic choice for me as I’m not really a nude lip girl and I’ve never been into lipglosses. I picked this up in the shade ‘Obvi’ and immediately fell in love. It has a matte style to it while still being glossy and it makes my lips feel hydrated but not too wet, if you know what I mean. The shade is the perfect nude with just a hint of a pale pink and it’s perfect for a minimalist makeup look.

Tarte has officially become my favorite makeup line and adding these two new products to my collection have been a dream.
