The Two Perfect Perfumes for Spring

Perfume-1

If I’m being totally honest, I’d say that 9 times out of 10 I run out of the house five minutes late and forget to put on deodorant let alone a spritz of perfume. But on those days where there’s a crisp warmth in the air and I can smell the fresh flowers and a newly mowed yard, I make sure to add a few pumps of perfume to my beauty routine. During this time of year, I’ve found two staple scents that are my go-to’s for a bright, happy smell that is perfect for spring.

The first, Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede cologne, has been a favorite of mine for about a year now. From the first time I took a whiff in the Paris boutique to buying it as a great luxury gift for all my friends (I even gifted the candle version of this scent), Peony & Blush Suede is on the top of my list for favorite perfumes ever. Along with scrumptious peony flowers and the deep tones of blush suede, there’s a subtext of red apple, jasmine, rose, and gillyflower. Mmm, I can smell it now.

My second must have scent for spring is Philosophy’s Fresh Cream eau de toilette. This fragrance is sweet, delicious, subtle and honestly makes me feel pure joy when I’m wearing it. I’m not sure how they can bottle up such a creamy scent, but they’ve done it perfectly. I am always complimented when I wear this and it’s an easy scent with a unique attitude to it. I also love layering it with a more floral scent to really bring out all the fragrance notes.

I’ve been finding that I reach for Fresh Cream on the days when I’m running errands or just relaxing and I tend to save Peony & Blush Suede for those days that I have a special event or want to feel extra pampered. Both are great for bringing spring along with you all the way to summer, and I will definitely be keeping both around bottle after bottle.
