I have been having loads of fun doing some fall inspired DIY’s over on my YouTube channel. I am obsessed with all things natural beauty and this pumpkin face mask and cinnamon vanilla scrub are just that!
I was shocked with how well the pumpkin face mask worked. I was expecting a more relaxing, hydrating mask but the zinc in the pumpkin and antibacterial properties in the cinnamon and honey gave it a tingly feeling that felt like a super deep cleanse for my face.
Pumpkin Spice Face Mask
Ingredients:
-1/2 cup pumpkin puree
-1 teaspoon almond milk
-2 tablespoons honey
-1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Take a small spoonful and apply to your face. Let sit for 5-10 minutes, then remove with warm water. Makes enough for 3-5 masks. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
For the cinnamon vanilla scrub, we used coconut sugar to keep it all refined-sugar free and I was so impressed with how soothing it was. The sugar was great for getting out all those dead skin cells while the cinnamon and vanilla worked their magic.
Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub
Ingredients:
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/4 cup walnut oil
-1/2 cup to 1 cup coconut sugar
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined. Take a small spoonful and rub over your arms and hands (it can get messy so make sure to do it over a sink). Scrub for 2-3 minutes then rinse with warm water. Makes enough for 3-5 uses. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
Both of these recipes would be awesome for a relaxing spa night at home with friends, or just a quick pick me up for when you want to pamper yourself.
You and your friend are too cute! Is it bad that I want to eat that mask? Haha.
xo, Heather
Haha I did eat a bite!
