Friday Feels

Hi hi and happy end of the week! I love Fridays almosttt as much as I love Mondays (something about a fresh start and all the list-crossing to do!) because it’s the signal of the weekend. And during the weekend I get to do all my favorite things like spend time with family, do my self-care rituals (how many baths is too many baths?) and Netflix & Chill.

I love finding quotes and inspiration throughout my week. I’m always pinning different things or bookmarking things on my Instagram, so I thought it would be fun to share some of what I love here with you guys. So, without further ado, here’s the things I’ve been loving this week that gave me all the feels.

The Crosbys

I can’t tell you how much I love this sweet family. I started watching their videos after seeing Claire and her dad do the cover of “Part Of Your World” from The Little Mermaid over 3 years ago. It’s been so sweet to see their journey and get to know their family more, and I find when I watch their videos I get this burst of joy and gratitude. They’re full of positivity, and I always think that’s something we need more of in this world these days.

Autumn Vibes

I know, I know. It’s way too early to be getting excited for autumn. But, there’s already been a few mornings here in the U.K. where the air has been crisp, I’ve had to cozy up with my fuzzy blanket, and make more than one cup of tea to keep warm. To me, that’s the start of autumn. I also may be a bit more excited since I’m from Florida and normally never get to experience the changing of seasons. It’s the little things.

Pottery

I’ve got a new obsession, and it’s called clay. I finished a 6-week pottery course recently and it’s only lit my fire (or kiln?) more. One of my favorite things to do is find beautiful inspiration online. My one goal for taking the course was to make a coffee mug, and the one thing I never made was a coffee mug 😂. But, alas, it just gives me something to look forward to. I’m getting inspiration these days from Villarreal Ceramics, Seagoat Ceramics, Vivian Shao Chen, and Om Ceramic. Is there anything more satisfying than your morning cup of of joe out of a handmade mug with love? I think not.

Organic Skincare

I’m always getting asked about transitioning from traditional skincare to a more natural, even organic, regimen. I personally follow a pretty minimalist based routine (more on that soon!), but I came across this article on The Good Trade and loved that it recommended so many great eco-friendly skincare brands. Check it out if you want to add some new natural brands to your skincare routine! My favorites from the list are Osea, Herbivore Botanicals, and Tata Harper.

Wild We Roam

Okay, I had to share one more YouTube channel I love (because I spend the majority of my free time watching YT videos) and it’s called Wild We Roam starring Dana & Lou. About a year or so ago, they bought a van and renovated it to travel all over Europe. Their videos are so stunningly made, they share authentic pros and cons about van life, and they just seem like two of the sweetest people ever. Lou has severe arthritis and so they adopted a plant-based diet to help combat his illness. I found their channel from this video, and have binge watched everything else of theirs ever since. If you feel called to do something different and get out of your comfort zone, then Dana & Lou’s journey is great inspiration.
