How We Met

We swiped right. I came to England, he came to the U.S. We traveled the world, and the rest is history.

Today we’re sharing all the details about how we met! From Tinder to “I love you’s” and all the good stuff in between. I figured it would be a lot more personal, and easier, to share the story as a video (that way Matt could share his side as well!) so that’s what we’ve done.

I love our story.

I think it’s unique, sometimes weird, insanely beautiful, and one I can’t wait to tell our kids. For me, it’s just a testament to the idea that life isn’t about those intricate plans you make for yourself. It actually holds so much more beauty for you if you just allow it to unfold the way it’s meant to. Trust is such an important part to our story. I had to trust myself, trust Matt, and trust life. If I’m being honest with myself, it’s the first time I’ve ever really done that, but it’s brought me more joy than I ever knew possible and led me to exactly where I’m meant to be.

If you’re in that in-between time, or wishing for a partner, my advice would be to just trust. Our paths had to align perfectly (literally down to the day) for our relationship to work and for us to even connect, and it did. I think timing is just as important as love when you first meet someone. We were in the right place in our lives, and ready for what was to come. So, trust that the right person for you is out there, just getting ready to be with you. And every experience you’ve gone through so far and are going through now is preparing you to be the best partner you can to the person you’re going to share your life with (or at least a piece of it). I wish I spent more time enjoying the ride than worrying about the destination because looking back, it all fell into place exactly how it was meant to.

I hope you enjoy hearing our story, and seeing the bits of magic that made it all worthwhile.
